This is a reminder that directors have free will to make whatever tf they want. I don’t think bong joon ho made this to be a masterpiece. I enjoyed it, was entertained the whole time, and as always appreciate the social satire

Even if it was supposed to be ~camp~, pick a different subject matter. Not tasteful at all, terrible ending, musical numbers added absolutely no substance to the plot. Only giving 1.5 stars because zoe saldana was pretty good but i never want to see her dance like that again ❤️

With the color palette being so dark and drab, it made the cinematography and the framing of the shots stand out so much- that actually was one of the most beautifully shot movies i’ve ever seen???
Freaky freaky freaky and lemme say one more time…. FREAKY. But i loved every second of it, eyes glued, lily rose depp mesmerizing, could’ve done without the dramatic accent from Count Orlok but we can’t have everything
