  People who are mocking/trolling about the 12 years process of making this movie are too simple minded. They probably will love movies like Past Lives or some actually pretentious shit. 

  I really think the 12 years have a significant impact on how believable the story is, we see the same kid grew into different stages of his life, like a documentary.. and the story is actually interesting, those who say its bland has so little sensitivity of real life.
