I fully expected stupid basic white people's romance and I got stupid basic white people romance.
Wouldn't have watched it if I wasn't promised Glen Powell's naked butt. Thankfully I got what I came for, and also a few good laughs as bonus. Not mad about that. Also Sydney Sweeney is so freaking beautiful.

Hillbilly Elegy 2020
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
It's a solid story about generational suffering, mental disorder, and poverty. The central theme is in the son's struggle to integrate his upbringing with the upper society he strives to fit in to. I think I can relate to that. And what I love about JD is that he succeeds in integrating, without abandoning his identity like we often see in less decent films.
