The Boys in the Band 2020
This definitely reads as an adaptation of a play but as someone with an interest in theatre it doesn't bother me. Part of me wishes there were more leaps made to make this a unique adaptation, to use the art form of film making to enhance this but it works well enough as it is. For example I like how during the flashback scenes a film damage/leak effect is overlaid. It's a small stylistic choice that I appreciate a lot.β¦

What can I say about this, it blew my mind. I've genuinely already rewatched it multiple times. I'M OBSESSSEEEED.
However!!! As much as I loved it there's parts that don't work. A lot of chatacters go underutilised, mainly the Fairy Queen, Sir Hop a Lot and Crumb. That doesn't really bring down my enjoyment too much though!Translated from by
