Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 2007
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This never gets old and was even better than I remembered it. This truly has everything I ever wished for in a piece of media:
• a male main character that‘s clearly mentally ill (but I could save him)
• the COMMENTARY on exactly that train of thought in Mrs Lovett as a character that‘s always been unrequitedly in love with exactly that guy and thinks that by loving him unconditionally - even though he‘s not interested in the slightest…Translated from by -
The Ninth Gate 1999
You know what? I‘m always left disappointed by these kinds of movies. Especially because I‘m so intrigued by the plot at first. I‘m a sucker for everything mythical but these kinds of movies ALWAYS lack the elaborate lore I‘m hoping for.
At the end it always lacks imagination, it always lacks great detail. Fuck this.

I don‘t know wether it‘s my huge crush on Adam Driver, my love for anything weird or my immense daddy issues that spark especially anytime I experience an artist that clearly needs psychological help (Henry McHenry), but I‘ve never been more struck by a film leaving the theatre… ever.
