  Its competently made, everyone who worked on it did an decent job but no amount of mise en scène can save something so fundamentally uninterested in saying anything. Jon Chu keeps asking you every 30 seconds if you're having fun yet as he refuses to inject any substance into this bloated adaptation. Parts were enjoyable because literally everyone else did a good job.
