  I love this man. There's this saying about Chekhov's stories - when a story ends you can look out of the window and watch the rest of it; or something like that. And Jarmusch is the Chekhov of directors. He finds weirdness in the ordinary. Every bit of the movie was just right, in the most effortless way possible.

  I feel like every now and then Lanthimos comes up with a "what if..." and then proceeds to make a whole movie out of it. And I love him for that.
  You'd probably want to ask him an important question several times during the movie: "Did that actually happen for the sake of the story, or was it just to annoy people?"
  + I also couldn't help but think that "the heartless woman" probably turned out this way because of how she was treated back home as a teenager. :))
