I like learning about the sisters' lives and flaws. The characters are so realistic that I see them in my own family.
This movie felt more like a drama than a movie. There was conflict throughout the WHOOLLE movie, I was stressed out.

It’s got the classic rich guy x poor girl romance trope, but Mai also touches on the struggles of being a single mother, age gaps (especially when the woman is older), sexual assault, and LGBTQ issues in Vietnamese society.
There were some really artistic scenes that I wish there were more of, it kind of felt like the director just threw them in randomly.
I cried my eyes out, and the soundtrack was beautiful. But if you don’t understand Vietnamese, you’ll miss a lot of the deeper meaning and cultural nuances.
