An American Werewolf in London 1981
I’ve seen this a handful of times and the more I see this the funnier nurse Alex is to me. Like no one just takes a patient back to their apartment without even thinking about it. Shit is hilarious. Other than that, the practical/special effects in this film are just amazing still. Jacks rapidly decomposing body is perfect and is a unique piece to a werewolf tale. One of my fav 80s horror films that has a great sense of humor.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t think I would like this film as much as I did. But I feel like if you don’t like Kumail as a comedian, then you probably won’t enjoy this film. I think he is pretty funny, and is delivery sometimes is really spot on. Over all I thought this was a fun take on a buddy film, and the theme of Kumails character “becoming a man” was interesting enough. Some heartfelt moments in the mix too. Now was it amazing - no. But at midnight with 4 beers in, it deserves 3 stars.

I am very pleased that I didn’t pay much attention to the marketing of this or read up on what this film was supposed to be about even. Going into it I thought, “ok this might be some kind of sci-fi thriller flick” boy was I wrong.
