Way better than most people say it is. It’s funny, heartfelt, and it feels very new and fresh. I love how queer it is, and the two leads have amazing chemistry. Give this one a chance!!!

Glad to see that Bergman knocks it out of the park in his only horror film. It is definitely scary, especially the surreal visuals and creepily distorted sound design. It feels like it has a lot to say about artists lives, how they are impacted by being praised vs loved. The desire for that praise can drive one to madness, and Bergman is showing that through Johan's literal decent into insanity.
The scenes at the castle really stuck with me.…
