  shortly before the release of this film there was an image circulating around the internet that caught my attention at the time. it was a screencap of hideaki anno doing an interview for a documentary about the making of eva 3.0+1.0, with subtitles at the bottom. in the screencap, the interviewer asks anno if he had any emotional attachment to the series after finishing working on the film, to which anno replies "none".

  ACTION!

  I watched it expecting a silly schlock-y zombie film. Instead I got a fun, heartwarming and thoroughly original experience. Takes a while for it to set up but it absolutely rewards your efforts. Probably the most fun I've had watching a film all year. Watch it with some friends!
