The Botanist 2025
Awesome! Superbly shot, but more aggressive and imaginative than Abbas (and, of course, more attuned to the cultural context of China). It's incredible to see a film like this in Berlin, where the shadow-like urban fantasy occupies every city on the border, where veiled references are expressed through a child's point of view, and where the whole film feels like the ravings of a dream world
