National Anthem 2023
Heartfelt coming of age story about a young day laborer that finds his truth when he takes a job at a queer ranch that rears animals for the Gay Rodeo circuit. Refreshingly, the films conflict revolves around polyamory drama rather than homophobia. The second act drags a little, though it's pretty while it does it, & the film runs a bit long. Gorgeously shot, both subtle & cheesy in the best ways, & great performances across the board. A must watch this Summer 2024.
