While this is likely enjoyable for the hardcore Weird Al fans (I had my phase as one), it’s incredibly confusing. Is it lazy writing disguised as comedy or do I have a bad sense of humor?
For example, at the dinner table early on the mom says something to the effect of “you just need to stop doing what you love and being who you are”. Is this supposed to be funny?
Would have loved an actual dive into a clearly complex man.
Well done movie but the messaging didn’t hit me hard enough. To be sure, we all face choices that we regret in hindsight. Needed a little more emphasis visually or thematically for it to pay off for me.
