If anyone watched The Brutalist, I’ve written a review that took longer than five minutes for a change.
No pressure of course, that’s for tyres.
Brutalism is at its core is ugly, shocking, and, well, brutal. The film mirrors this style from its beginning foundations filled with potential, to its construction, devoid of humanity. Just like its buildings can withstand an onslaught of conflict, the film will weather the storm of an abundance of cgi reliant, paint by numbers popcorn movies.
