Sleepless, exciting, grimy as fuck. Boyle's brutality, barreling through everything in his path including all the black and brown people he comes across (and NYC public at large during that fucking chase), isn't played lightly by Hackman's performance, with Friedkin showing us by the end of the film the means didn't even amount to much ends.
