  This movie was real. Nice seeing a movie where people communicate. Not always perfectly, but at least they do it. Andrew Garfield is just one of my favs. Florence Pugh actually surprised me in this one.

  Great film with some fun twists. 

  Pros:
  - Oscar Isaac doing a choreographed dance
  - engaging story

  Cons:
  - nudity is a big womp womp for me

  I think these stories about AI are super interesting given the current climate toward it. Alex Garland seems to have some interesting takes on the humanity of AI in this film and in The Creator. I think using human actors to play AI characters is a dangerous move because it humanises the characters…

  Edit for those that care: I watched the Final Cut version. 

  I listened to a podcast recently talking about the making of this movie which gave me a false notion that I knew what to expect from this. The cinematography and special effects were astonishing. Sci-fi films made with film cameras will forever impress and baffle me.

  Very good film. Well paced. Acting was fantastic. I don’t really have to say too much about it other than that I enjoyed it 👍

  Edit: one last thing to add is I appreciated the fact that a good story was told without having to use swearing or sex to make it more interesting 🙏
