Loses all the charm of the first film. The characters, particularly Ralph, are hugely annoying. Extreme product placement and references which must have felt dated during the animation, never mind years later. Gimmicky rubbish.

Wreck-It Ralph 2012
An enjoyable homage to retro games that manages to go in its own direction without endless parody and references. Benji enjoyed it.

The Deepest Breath 2023
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Visually stunning. Stephen’s heroism/sacrifice is very moving, although I didn’t like the build up to the “reveal” of it, which felt manipulative and unnecessary.
I also have very little understanding of why people do freediving, and the film didn’t really address it. Just a surface level “you forget all your worries down there, man” vibes combined with obsession/perfectionism. It seems really dumb to me to put yourselves and others in extreme danger for such a niche sport.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot 1974
“Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. That sounds like somethin’”
Laid back, easy and engaging chemistry between Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges. Four excellent performances, with Geoffrey Lewis and George Kennedy imbuing their characters toxic relationship with so much history in their scenes together. Red is such a great villain - bitter, resentful, a powder keg of impotent rage ready to explode.
One of my favourite films.
