  I thought this movie did an excellent job of taking a single event which would be sensationalised by the news in a single line and spends most of the runtime showing the minor events leaving up to it.

  Probably my favourite political biopic. Too many films with similar political or social issues present love to steer clear of anything that may be even slightly controversial to a conservative audience. This film avoids too much misrepresentation of Malcolm X by directly quoting his autobiography in the narration.

  It portrays Malcolm X as the revolutionary he was while showing his different ideas throughout his life and how they evolved. One notable era of his life which was mosltly left out…
