Overall I enjoyed the movie and the humour even though I thought that the social commentary it made was sometime very on the nose. I also think that the ending doesn’t really tie well each stories which on their own feel more like sketches than an over-arching anthropology. It’s a nice watch, but not a must see

Speechless. This movie is such a masterpiece from the voice over which breaks the sound of the movie to the characters themselves, especially Luisa. It’s a tale of sex, friendship, union and separation in the form of a Bildungsroman/ road trip movie which also serves as a veiled socio-politico commentary of Mexico.

This is such a French movie lol! The movie focuses a lot on sex, romance and relationship and thereby it makes interesting socially commentary on our modern day relationship with them. The characters are likeable, although I felt that some of that Noemi Merlant’s character, Nora, was the least developed of the three. By the end of the movie her motivations still remain too unclear for my taste.  Overall this is a nice movie, but not necessarily a must see.

This movie left me in an emotional wreck. It encapsulates so well the experience of many immigrants and their children when facing up racism not just in Germany, but the West in general. The ending is also shot in an innovative way which heightens the film’s plot and main message.
