A Complete Unknown 2024
I convinced my mother, a Bob Dylan hater and Timothée Chalamet critic, to see the movie with me, and she and I were both very entertained (she only made fun of the midwest accents a few times and didn't hate the song choices). There wasn't really a plot or real conclusions but the music and performances made the movie pretty good anyways.

Palo Alto 2013
I was a bit disappointed that there was no portrayal of the odd culture of the town the movie is named after. I grew up in Palo Alto, and the environment which is oversaturated with tech bros and Stanford alumni creates a very sheltered bubble. This doesn't take away from the movie at all, but I feel like the setting felt like any suburban town. The title is meaningless (the town is not once mentioned) and only falls back on the filming location.
