Blink Twice 2024
Another entry into the increasingly bleak 'how did we get here?' sub-genre of drama / thrillers. I'm not sure how I managed to get through this and Civil War in the same week, but I'm pretty tired now. There's a trigger warning at the start of this and it needed one. At times I found this horrific, so I'm pretty sure the film is doing it's job. And the ending was a gut punch.

Bad Influence 1990
It's fun when you come to realise that were it not for a couple of small twists of fate, Rob Lowe could have been Tom Cruise. This movie never disappoints, managing to be at the intersection of the yuppies in peril / illicit sex subgenres that were just getting revved up at the time and managing to regain some sense of gloss and quality, not to mentioning kick starting Hanson as a director. The print on Amazon Prime is excelent…
