  A modern Moby Dick, but Captain Ahab wins. A Bugs Bunny cartoon, but Elmer Fudd comes out on top. Man vs. nature, but man traps, skins, clubs, butchers, and beats the living stuffing out of nature. I thought 100 minutes of undiluted slapstick would get old eventually, but I don't remember ever watching a movie before this one where I not only laughed consistently throughout, but laughed harder and harder as it went on until I was on the verge…

  Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie 2002

  First family movie night in the books! (Well, two nights where we split the movie in half).

  Jude has now been asking to hear the story of how a whale bit Jonah. I pulled out the Bible and read him the book of Jonah (I forgot it's only like three pages long), and he sat through it. In the middle of the reading he asked when Bob the Tomato was going to show up. I think we'll read Moby Dick next.
