Rant time;
I think my biggest issue with the film was the tone. For something that relies so heavily on humour, it's painfully unfunny. Any joke that was tolerable was then beaten to absolute death. The problem with this was that it then totally invalidated any attempt at seriousness or sincerity. Any emotional moment was instantly ruined when it cuts to a hot dog finger reference. Also, any philosophical point the film tried to make was no more insightful than a rick and morty facebook meme.
