  Haigh has an eye for both time and place, and how he has developed such rich, textured characters over the two seasons and a movie is pure perfection. Patience is a must, as the languid, dialogue driven storytelling simmers along, building into something that never quite grows beyond glowing embers, and that's ok. Sometimes the long lasting warmth is the best.

  Very much not a passive viewing experience. Arnold's oven-stuffed tapestry is a chaotic joy from start to finish. The story, which follows the lives of teens who live on the road selling magazines, is both a wild tumble through a mostly plotless story and an ambitious study of the American Midwest and the teens who live a life of drifting from one city to the next, impatiently awaiting the next adventure that promises no compass.
