I really enjoyed it. It made me reflect on how love can become transactional and how people can grow so materialistic that they lose touch with their inner selves.
I imagine that sex work demands such a detachment from self-love and self-care that, over time, one’s body becomes the only currency left, the only reality they know.
Perhaps what the film is suggesting is that even a hint of love—or the illusion of it—might feel worth clinging to, even if it lacks true love and respect.
As a gay guy who had to be apart from family to be able to experience and discover life as a gay person, I can relate very, very much to this story.
All the sadness is perfectly channeled by the actors performance in raw and profound dialogs, at the same time.
I guess it's now one of my favorite LGBT movies.
A great second piece of this sandy world that's now came to life. I loved every scene.
