  I wish I could give this 3.75 stars. It’s not quite a 4 star movie. But it it is what it is and it’s good at what it is. Obviously this is an apocalypse movie, and haven’t we seen plenty of these since September of 2001? We sure have and with good reason. It’s an effective way to scare people.   I was surprised. Totally competent found footage haunted house movie. Does what it says on the tin. Good jump scares, somewhat interesting story, and the creepiest clowns I’ve seen in a long long while. See this!

  The Deepest Breath 2023

  I love documentaries where you know something bad is going to happen. Anything involving restriction of breath, or the inability to breathe, causes me great anxiety. This film captures that feeling. The cinematography is amazing too. Really beautiful.

  I liked it. Kind of like Re-Animator mixed with Evil Dead, but not as much comedy unfortunately. Heather Graham was great, and it also stars Barbara Crampton, who was also in Re-Animator. Cool! Makes sense since this movie was based on a Lovecraft story. Lots of over-the-top bloody gore, but in a fun way! Recommended.
