Slightly out-there movie enhanced by the typical Denzel charm and wittiness. Watched it as part of a Criterion collection that also included Memento, so I knew it would be somewhat trippy but wasn't sure how it would manifest. (Young) star-studded cast (Ethan Hawke, Ben Stiller, Winona Ryder) act out a fun, light-hearted spin on the belated coming-of-age story. I enjoyed the various 90's throwbacks, engaging acting, and funny dialogue and character hijinks.
Like other films in this genre, the "music-of-the-times" are great and give the film that extra 90's sheen that blends well with the myriad of other references, like Domino's…
