The lead up to him revealing her sister’s death is so wonderfully written that I got sad and then that’s what exactly he wanted in the first place so he could make a punchline afterwards may be the smartest piece of comedy I ever watched.

Ode to Nothing 2018
I think it happens to everyone, when loneliness and grief gets the best of us we find ways to cope. Manifestations and delusions that we believe just to feel a little bit better.
What’s interesting to me is that I’ve watched a lot of films centered on grief but this one has a new take on it. In some scenes, the silence was almost deafening which makes Sonya’s outbursts even louder.
Sobrang ganda nito from cinematography to writing to sound design to acting. Definitely now one of my favorites. What a way to end this month with this masterpiece.
