Extremely underwhelming.
I wanted to love this, so, so much.
To start off with the positives, the performances vary from good to excellent, except for Aaron Taylor Johnson, who did still have his moments, but still baffled me at times.
Bill Skarsgård was absolutely unrecognizable, from the makeup, which was terrific in general, to THE VOICE, incredible. I was in complete shock from what I was hearing, he truly never fails to amaze.
I kind of felt like Lilly Rose…

Yeaahhhhhh it fell off. Rewatching this the dialogue's awfulness really stood out like a sore thumb. The dialogue is absolutely awful, but the way the story moves salvages it. Some of the acting really got on my nerves. The mom is annoying, some characters are really one dimensional, and Gemma is the funniest & most annoying character in all of fiction, Jesus Christ.
Still love the ending, but I think they could have packaged it a bit better in the kind…Translated from by
