I typically avoid crime centered media in the modern era (i know impossible right?) because it's oversaturated with unnecessary violence against women and "men being men". Trap is a refreshing take on the thriller genre especially in regards to serial killers. From the start you see this dad taking his 12 year old daughter to see her favorite Pop star perform a concert which by the way is actually a sting operation to catch a serial killer they call The…

The first five minutes felt very film-noir which I enjoyed however I didn't enjoy much else until the last five minutes. The set design was beautiful and meticulously detail oriented. However, the film dragged on and on and I spent the majority of the time wishing I was watching Clue(1980) with Tim Curry.

This got a lot of unnecessary hate when it was released...mainly because of Diana Ross "age" however me thinks it has to do with the people not being ready to see black excellence. The first thought that crossed my mind was "why wouldn't they have a black director?" And then I reminded myself it was 1978 not 2025. Within the Oz cinematic universe there is typically one song that really stands out among the others (Wizard of Oz-Somewhere Over The…

This is a great tale! Definitely must watch again. Loved seeing the mason stuff they don't really put that in films anymore. Also I think this is the first Connery movie I've ever seen and the funniest I've seen Caine act, didn't know he could take that cockney accent to where he did. Loved the story. It kept reminding me of that one Kanye lyrics "not one man should have all that power."
