This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The movie should have ended no more than half an hour after Jude Law died.
The musical sequences were weird but helped the movie create necessary suspensions of disbelief. The theatrical lighting also assistet. So overall it worked really well!
Also, Selena Gomez is pretty clearly playing a Mexican American, so Mexico Twitter should probably lay off on that front.
But... it wasn't really Mexican in any recognizable way? Not that I'm an expert but like the music was just musical theater, and the final marching scene felt very french.
The credits all being in French help me care less about how "mexican" it is though.
This movie was excellent. Funny, immersive, and chock full of smooth, well performed, and smartly edited action sequences.
Dev Patel saw John Wick and said "I could do that". And he did! It rocked!
The things we do for love... (i'm not sure what actually was done)
