My feelings towards Harmony Korine’s Baby Invasion is equal parts fascination with the unique approach and simply not knowing how to consume this type of film lol.
There was a lot of empty space in the first half that could’ve been trimmed down to make the pacing better, but other than that this was a wild experiment that definitely paid off by the end imho.

Just learned that the snake handler for the snake scene in the film was never informed about the snake's fate, so when they started killing the snake with a machete, crew members were holding him back, and was heard crying off-camera. Imagine agreeing to have your pet be in a movie and then they kill it on set in front of you, only for the whole situation to be swept under the rug for decades. And the rest of the movie fucking sucks so this is pretty much irredeemable.
