I believe viewers—regardless of where they're from—will grasp the urgency of this film in a world where political darkness is spreading. There's no better wake-up call than recognising the past and acknowledging that dictatorship and military overreach are not distant threats; they are happening everywhere and could happen to us.
The whole cast, particularly Fernanda Torres, were brilliant. The thought and intention in each movement, gaze, gesture feels so close to real. Cinema at its best.
