Jiu Jitsu 2020
This is an impressively bad film. sort of like watching someone play a legally distinct Predator meets DBZ knockoff video game where you never get to hold the controller.
Oh, and Nic Cage is in it, absolutely chewing the scenery while everyone else seems like they're having the worst time of their lives, and rightly so as even the man himself, Nicolas Kim Coppola can't make you care about a single thing that happens from start to finish.

Nosferatu 2024
Eggers is arguably a one trick pony in that his work continues to explore the intersection of mythos and madness in exclusivity. The upside of this is that he does it very, very well, and has done consistently throughout his career.
Nosferatu is brimming with solid performances all round and is another really well crafted work. Perhaps with less in the way of surprises than the VVitch or the Lighthouse in that vampire stories are more well trodden ground, but it's a gripping and crucially faithful yet innovative addition to the genre, so if you know what you like then you won't be disappointed.

If anything I liked this even more than X, both decent films, but the origin of Pearl is just really good fun and is a lot more cohesive, and Mia Goth is obviously fantastic. I really liked this one.
