Perhaps the best war movie ever. Didn’t even notice he was Marlon Brando, just felt he seemed oddly familiar from the Godfather. I wholeheartedly adore the way his (Kurtz) story rhymes with Julius Caesar’s life.

The visual, or one should rather say, optical effects are just sublime. How everything is set so that you end up wondering if there really is a huge tarantula in the payroll.
The writing is, as well, majestic. It is just one of those classic movies where you know everything has been polished down to perfection. Every minute detail.
