    “What if this is the best version?”

    Saoirse Ronan is a star, and her role in this film is a perfect demonstration of that. The anger, warmth, and sadness are conveyed perfectly in her performance. Like most coming of age films, this is heartwarming and nostalgic, but there’s also some great characters and relationships. Her relationship with her parents is by far the most interesting part of the film.

    Timothee Chalamet’s character might be the most insufferable person in the history of humankind.

    Body horror taken to a new extreme, while revolving around the idea of body dysmorphia, and how people value themselves, especially as they begin to age. This movie doesn’t restrain itself with the grossness and I love that. It’s completely unrestrained.

    The intended commentary couldn’t be any more obvious and on the nose, but that’s also why this movie excels. There’s no subtlety to hold it back, which makes for an insanely gruesome and impactful experience.
