  watching this on the 20th of March 2025 when the new “new” order is making a comeback after 27 years, making indonesia unofficially shifting towards the military junta. this movie is truly giving me a spit in the eye on how this country never changed for the slightest despite being independent for nearly 80 years.

  the post-independence struggle are still apparent and a spitting image of what was depicted in usmar ismail’s most famous work. i hope many indonesians are…

  robert i know i can trust you in the realm of yearning and earnest love. i love him as a vessel but we clearly knows where each deadline stands on the movie, like the pushed release date is so palpable in each scene, to the point of knowing when and where the producers are SCREAMING and begging them to finish the movie on each scene. 

  secondly, i love you bong joon ho for doing this goofball “screw-you-Hollywood” comedy and still giving a pretty powerful message for the imminent dystopian-end stage capitalism world we live in. march on ‼️‼️‼️
