  Dumb story but very well made. Can’t say I wasn’t entertained. Visually pleasing too and Christina Ricci was great for how unrealistic of a role she had to play. As a satire this is incredible, but I think Vince Gallo is actually just retarded or something

  The characters and storylines in Asteroid City are fine: they’re decent, funny and somewhat interesting but that’s not what draws me to this film. It’s what they represent. Who knows why the alien stole the meteorite, why Augie burnt his hand or why atom bombs frequently go off around Asteroid City?   “He could only see what was not there and missed what was right in front of him.”

  Incredible film. It reminded me a lot of Death Stranding, which is one of my favourite games. The combination of loneliness, sci-fi, confronting the past, struggles with family, pirates (MULEs), stunning visuals and worlds all brought these two together for me.
