  „Nothing ever happened here.“

  In stark contrast to this quote there is a lot of human evil on display in this quite dark tale. The movie does not waste any time and uses its simple premise to start off an intense ride of a film. This makes it feel well-paced for the entire running time. Throw in a gorgeous Scottish backdrop plus some nice stylistic choices and you have yourself a tightly-knit, little thriller.

  „They have the munchies!“

  The Green Inferno - Eli Roth‘s flawed, somewhat whacky, but entertaining homage to one of the most controversial films ever made.

  I am glad I saw this film after all the hype it generated prior to its release had worn off. This enabled me to go in just expecting a fun, modern take on the cannibal genre.
