    I thought it was fine.
    Pros:
    - good establishment of Sam Wilson as the new Captain and potential leader of the Avengers.
    - self-contained. In its own corner and not too concerned with buildup to other movies or storylines.
    - world-building without feeling excessive or shoehorned.
    - practical action scenes were great.
    - a really great action sequence at the end of the second act.

I'm happy I only watched the initial trailer then stayed away from the rest, as I wanted to go in as blindly as possible and be surprised.
This was like a two-hour "Black Mirror" episode with more dark comedy. Well-acted all across the table, but Sophie Thatcher dominates the movie with her performance in particular. I was especially fond of the cinematography and overall feel. I thought it was just the right length too and maintained my attention the whole time.
Works as both a sci-fi and social commentary.

Holy crap, what a fun time. Ran with the Multiverse concept in a way that the MCU quite hasn't just yet, and what more-appropriate character? The most meta, comic-booky, and R-Rated of the trilogy.
Dude, that was SO much fun.

Atmospheric with a constant sense of dread. You feel this movie in your bones; the cold sense of uneasiness. That type of horror is much more-effective for me. If there needed to be a Nosferatu redux, Robert Eggers was certainly the man for the job. He directed the crap out of this, and directed the crap out of his actors, Lily-Rose Depp in particular. This was the first performance of hers that really stood out. And Bill Skarsgaard has really carved out his niche in playing tall, creepy characters.
Easily a top 10 of 2024 for me.
