Whilst trying so hard to make something on the level of all the other great films of the period Michelangelo Antonioni forgets to add a plot line that catches the audiences attention or really says anything about the contemporary society. His crude portrayal of woman, sexuality and desire convolute the story to a point where audiences aren’t shocked by the discovery of a murder 2/3 of the way into the movie.
