With the resurgence of Nikki Blonsky Cameo's I decided to rewatch Hairspray. If I was rating this based on technical things, It would be like a 1/5 but this movie is sooo bad that it's laughable in a good way. I was constantly like "THIS IS RIDICULOUS 😭" and be laughing my butt off because the acting 90% of the time was just terrible. The editing was very absurd. The only good editing scenes was when she was lighting the candles. Besides that though, the plot became kinda problematic towards the middle-end. Why is it 4.5/5though? This movie is just fun to watch because it's sooo bad, it's camp. Loving the early 2000's Disney Channel movies.

MISS GURL WAS GOING THROUGH IT 😭. Maud is such an interesting character. She is a played very well and all the main performances were acted well. Definitely a film where you need to do some research after to understand it better, especially understanding Christianity. Despite being a horror, it’s not that scary (good entry level horror movie) but the sense of dread as the movie goes on makes you uncomfortable. Great movie, but can be confusing at times.
