  Man…it was really strong in the first two acts seriously. James McAvoy killed it absolutely and the child actors were both quite strong, but man did the realism really jump out the window. Of course, it’s a commentary on social pleasantries and how passiveness can get you killed…so let them get killed for fucks sake. This family made so many poor decisions and some can be explained away as panic mode but it simply didn’t convince me. Third act completely broke the immersion and my attention.

   Can recommend for James McAvoy fans (such as myself) but not for anyone looking for a strong thriller.

  A masterpiece in the making. This will be a film discussed for decades. Everyone acted their asses off and it paid off. The visuals were superb and perfectly paired with an impeccably haunting score. Please watch this film; an experience you can hardly describe!

  Hell yeah, this movie kicks ass. Emotionally and visually. It not only respects but uplifts the narratives of its predecessors and gives a wonderfully powerful story. Great, fun characters that are visually distinct yet grounded. Would love to watch again soon.
