Hey! How nice was it to be back in this world again?
From the opening bars of that oh so familiar theme, to the fields of Rohan, the dark of Helms Deep and the lair of the giant eagles, this was a welcome return to the world of Tolkien.

Point Break 1991
First watch of this in well over ten years, and here are my ‘older me, post covid, post MCU’ thoughts; movies like this were just awesome when I was in my late teens. The surfing, the score, the shaggy old cop partner, the obstinate boss, the action sequences, the emotional beats and an engaging love story.
