Gorgeous visually (especially when in Jamaica) and both the sound and soundtrack are amazing. I also love that they didn’t soften the patois so it does have an authentic feel. Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch are both convincing and very engaging as Bob and Rita, but it still all feels a bit lightweight. It’s almost like a long lavish trailer for some unseen, better film. Enjoyable if ultimately insubstantial.
