A masterpiece of visual language. Love and longing has never had such an unrestricted palette.

Daniel Craig gives his best performance so far, a perverted rolling stone roaming Mexican bars for the one thing his natural charm always gets: a night of love.

In this world, where the mention of queer whips heads around to spot the heretic, it must give Craig's character, Lee, some anxiety. Yet, Lee thrives, rarely going to a hotel room alone.

What's hard to watch about modern Disney is less about the movies themselves but more to do with the cynicism and our own optimism circling around the drain of old ideas.

Moana, in 2016, was a jolt of lightning to a Disney slate which had been successful, sure, but was increasingly devoid of the magic the Disney Renaissance gave generations past.

Well-written, great with the heartstrings and casual enough for an easy ride. It's probably the best big Hollywood comedy in recent memory. Why was this released to die in January?

Kinda cute, kinda dumb. Tonal terrorism for sure, but man these are two of the hottest people ever. Need both Teller and Taylor-Joy in more action movies, they have sauce.

Hate how I already made my 2024 list. This would be on there.

Absurd, playful, funny, and horrifying. Should be watched knowing as little as possible.

There will never be a director like David Lynch. No one conducts and connects through emotional tissue rather than looking for cohesion quite like he did.
