Love Hurts 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I wanted to like the movie more than I did, Ke Huy Quan was charming but the constant ADR thoughts, or even within scenes was noticeable and distracting with the movie following too much exposition dumping instead of just letting choices play out through the characters. I've got more thoughts but I'll save them for harassing my friends in DM's.

Wicked 2024
Simply, it's a good story because Wicked is a good story and the film was adapted one to one- it's hard to mess that up. That being said that's the only thing that made it so enjoyable. The energy of the actors is felt, there's real passion behind performances but the choreography, cinematography, and lighting are all severely lacking leading to exciting scores and actors who are giving it their all but are equally poorly directed and at times are just standing awkwardly. Even still, it's a good movie. Costuming was wonderful, casting excellent, and the non-cgi set designs were really enjoyable. Would recommend it.

Hocus Pocus 1993
A classic wonderful movie! I'm so glad that they never made a sequel because the story was entirely contained to be in this one movie as the witches blew up at the end having not cast another spell to be resurrected again. It'd be a shame if a sequel were made that was bloated with advertisements for Rite Aide or something like that.
