So unhinged. I love it. I find it so fun that Bong Joon Ho, of the back of Parasite, decided to smush Snowpiercer and Okja together. My only complaint is that it’s pretty doughy.
Seeing the trailer for the seventh Jurassic Park movie before this was a nice reminder that we should support directors who make the crazy nonsense they want to make.
Note: This movie made me want to watch Moon again.

Ok so the last time I saw this was on a middle school field trip to the Minnesota Zoo IMAX. It was the coolest thing ever at the time.
Based on my memory of it, I decided it would be the perfect movie to be viewed under the influence of certain recreationally legal substances. I was half right.
The action, which comes in the form of disc fights, light bikes, and light planes(?), is awesome fun. The sleek cyber-styled visuals…

Divorced from the context surrounding this movie, it’s an absolutely epic action spectacle, with great characters, story, camera work, and a score that clearly influenced many works that followed.
I have some problems with it (man went crazy with the wipe cuts), but when adding back in the fact that every action movie made since owes something to this work, I won’t hesitate in agreeing that this is a masterpiece.
