great first half but strangely weak third act considering. ending was very strong emotionally until the last two scenes for me personally which took away from it a bit

a lot better as a novelty watch after being turned into my favourite musical ever than a standalone film - on its own it isn't the most compelling but sort of a product of its time. has some incredible lines though and again is the basis for the musical so have to give it props for that, and having seen it post-musical just makes it quite fun
